The Call – Why Most Men Feel Stuck—and How to Reignite Purpose..

Most men aren’t lazy.

They’re not broken.

They’re not stupid.

They’re just unclear.

No vision. No structure. No fire.

And without vision, Scripture says, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18).

That’s why I’m launching a new series—The Call—to help men reignite the fire of purpose in their lives and take ground in every area God has called them to.

This isn’t just theory. This is a roadmap to reclaiming momentum.

The Gap Between Knowing and Doing

You already know what you need to do.

You’ve read the books. Listened to the podcasts. Watched the sermons.

But transformation doesn’t come from consuming more information. It comes from doing the things you already know.

There’s a great quote we use in the Intent Man Group:

“The greatest gap in life is the one between knowing and doing.” – Dick Biggs

That’s why most men are frustrated. Because deep down, they know they’re capable of more—but they’re not moving on it.

Why You Feel Stuck

Feeling stuck isn’t a sign of failure. It’s a sign that your vision has faded.

You’re in the gap—between where you are and where you know you should be. And what you do with that gap determines everything.

Some people numb it.

Some people shrink their expectations.

Others—very few—use the gap to fuel action.

The Fire Isn’t Gone—It’s Just Dormant

You were made on purpose, for a purpose.

But purpose takes work. Vision takes discipline. Calling requires commitment.

It’s easy to slip into “comfortable numbness.” You’re not totally miserable… but not fulfilled either. That’s the danger zone.

Most men lead lives of quiet desperation not because they’re weak—but because they’ve lost their why.

The Power of Accountability

At the Intent Man Group, we believe accountability changes everything.

Whether it’s health, business, marriage, or faith—your actions must align with your intentions. And the best way to close that gap is to:

  • Write it down
  • Say it out loud
  • Tell someone who will hold you to it

We call this the Core Four: a group of 3–4 men who meet regularly to call each other higher. It’s simple, but life-changing.

Your Call Is Still Alive

If you’re reading this, your story isn’t over.

The dream is not dead. The fire can be reignited. The call can be reclaimed.

God is still looking for men to stand up, say yes, and trust Him with the next step. Even if it feels hard. Especially if it feels hard.

You were made for this.

  1. Thank you Billy for putting this together! I am going to work on trying to interact more with it on a weekly or even daily basis to try to learn my way around the app. Hopefully we can get some engagement numbers up and start putting this platform to more consistent use. I was out of town camping when you did the July 15 meeting. Are you still meeting Tuesdays?
